Voter Registration

It’s quick and easy to check your voter information online. If you have moved, changed your name, or turned 18 since the 2022 Municipal Election, you might not be on the Voters’ List.

Now you can get on the Voters’ List for both Municipal and Provincial elections, all in on place. Visit Election Ontario’s Voter Registration online tool to check if you are on the Voters’ List or register to vote. Check Your School Support

Property owners in Ontario are required to support a school board, even if they do not have children. Where a residential property is tenanted, the tenants can direct the school support for the property. By default, school support is directed to the City’s English Public School Board.

The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) collects school support information. To learn more about school support, visit the MPAC website. Property owners, occupants, and tenants can update their school support designation online using the school support designation tool.

Voting Methods for 2026

On May 26, 2025, Council adopted internet and paper ballot voting as the voting methods for the 2026 Municipal Election which are set out in By-law 8182/25.

Internet voting provides a convenient, simple, and secure method to vote from anywhere if you have access to the internet and a phone, tablet, or computer.

Paper ballot voting will be vote anywhere allowing you to visit any voting assistance centre or voting location that is most convenient for you to visit to cast your ballot. Stay tuned to find out more about when and where to cast your ballot.
